The venue
The summit takes place at the Holiday Inn Munich – City Centre, Hochstraße 3, 81669 München, in the Au-Haidhausen district on the east bank of the Isar. The hotel sits directly at the S-Bahn station Rosenheimer Platz and is linked to it by an underground passage. The Gasteig cultural centre is opposite, the Deutsches Museum is a few minutes’ walk away, and Marienplatz in the old town is about ten minutes on foot. AES Europe 2026 – Automotive Ethernet Summit runs at the same hotel on the same dates; the All-in and Student Passes give access to both events.
Getting there
From Munich Airport (MUC)
Take the S-Bahn S8 or S1 to Rosenheimer Platz, with no change of train. The S8 is the faster line; plan on 30 to 45 minutes. A taxi takes about 35 to 50 minutes, depending on traffic.
From München Hauptbahnhof
Munich’s main station is the hub for ICE long-distance trains from Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Berlin, Zurich, Vienna and beyond. From there, any S-Bahn towards Ostbahnhof reaches Rosenheimer Platz in about five minutes.
By car
Parking in central Munich is limited and the city centre is a low-emission zone. Public transport is the easiest way to reach the venue.
Where to stay
The Holiday Inn itself is the most convenient option. Within walking distance you will find hotels in Haidhausen, around the Deutsches Museum and in the old town, and the S-Bahn trunk line puts most of central Munich within 15 minutes of the venue. Book early: electronica, the electronics trade fair at Messe München, runs the following week (10–13 November 2026), and Munich hotel prices rise around large trade fairs.
Why Munich for humanoid robotics
Munich is one of Europe’s robotics centres. The Technical University of Munich runs the Munich Institute of Robotics and Machine Intelligence (MIRMI); robotics companies such as Agile Robots and Franka Robotics are based in the city; Siemens and BMW have their headquarters here; and Messe München hosts automatica, the trade fair for smart automation and robotics. That makes Munich a natural meeting point for humanoid robot makers from China and the European manufacturers, suppliers and certification bodies they want to work with.
What is on at Humanoid Europe 2026
Two days in four sessions: full-stack development (force control, embodied AI, dexterous manipulation), supply chains and mass production (scaling from 100 to 10,000 units, batteries, thermal management), safety and security (functional safety, data sovereignty, cybersecurity), and commercial applications in manufacturing and logistics, closing with a fireside chat on who buys the first 10,000 humanoid robots. Speakers come from Unitree, Galbot, Flexiv, Bosch, Jabil, Allegro MicroSystems, SGS-TÜV Saar, Fraunhofer IPA and IIS, KIT and others. Day 1 also includes invitation-only meetings with a humanoid robot showcase. See the full programme and all speakers.
More humanoid robotics events in Munich
Munich hosts several humanoid robotics events. After Humanoid Europe 2026 come the Advanced Humanoid Forum (20–21 January 2027) and automatica (22–25 June 2027). The EMEA Humanoid Robot Summit, a separate event, took place in Munich in June 2026. For dates across Europe, see humanoid robotics events in Europe 2026–2027.
